Peter & Olina Peterson

Peter Edward Peterson was born in 1924 on the P.C. Peterson homestead. He attended school at Kottke Valley No. 1 through the grades, then worked in the Sawyer coal mine before entering the Civilian Conservation Corps in the fall of 1936. In March of 1941, he enlisted in the army, serving overseas through World War II, being discharged on September 27, 1945.

On October 9, 1948, he married Olina Folden, the daughter of Mrs. Emma Folden and the late Ole A. Folden. They lived in Minot for two years before moving to the Folden farm in 1951, where they lived with Olina's mother.

Ed farmed the land, along with his father's farm. They later moved to Granville, and then to Drake.

Peter and Olina Peterson had one child, Edward Orlin, who graduated high school as Salutatorian of his class in 1967, then attended North Dakota State University, majoring in electronics engineering. Ed married Marjorie Ann Mabie.
